Who each one suits
ForeverMissed
Offers more than 100 themes and unlimited collaborators. A good fit for a large family writing a long tribute together, especially if you're happy to pay for the full version, since the free plan holds 5 photos.
Ever Loved
Built around the days after a death: obituary, event details, RSVPs, fundraising and funeral planning help. A good fit if you need to tell people what's happening and raise money. Its pages are listed on search engines, which helps people find the service.
Keeper
Its paid plan is a one-time $99 for unlimited pages, photos and videos, along with a family tree. A good fit if you want to keep several relatives in one place.
Farewelling
Pairs a memorial with planning tools and has a large library of guides. A good fit if you're also organizing a service. Its free plan is described as a trial, so plan on the paid version.
LifeRepeat
Made for looking through: a photo and video gallery with collections and favorites, letters side by side, and a QR code on every page. Family pages stay out of search engines, and visitors' letters wait for your approval.
We're new. We don't have fundraising, event pages or themes, and we don't sell plaques or upgrades yet, so choose one of the others if you need those now.
What to check on any site
- Renewals: what happens to the photos and page if a yearly plan lapses?
- Search: will the page show up when someone searches the name, and can you turn that off?
- Moderation: can you review what visitors post before it appears?
- Leaving: can you download everything, and what happens if the company closes? We wrote up how "lifetime" plans work.
Common questions
Ever Loved is a strong choice for a free page with an obituary, funeral details and fundraising. If you want to start with video, LifeRepeat includes 100 MB with video on a free page.
They avoid renewal fees, which matters if a plaque or a family link will point at the page for years. Read what "lifetime" covers first, because it usually depends on the company staying in business.
On most of these sites, yes. They differ in what visitors can post and whether you approve it first, so check the moderation settings if that matters to you.
